Step Up for Students Application Information

· Applications open to everyone on February, 1, 2026.  Renewal students will still have first priority for funding, however, renewal applications must be submitted by April 30th. With applications opening for everyone at the same time, one could assume the website will bog down (this has happened the past 2 years). If this happens, I recommend applying late/middle of the night when most people are not attempting to apply.

Step up for Students offers various scholarships. The following are some of the scholarships offered: 

➢ FTC: Florida Tax Credit Scholarship: 

· ✓ FTC Information Handbook ▪ K-12 students regardless of household income, who are residents of Florida and eligible to enroll in a K-12 public school, can receive a scholarship worth an average of $8,000 to attend a private school that best meets their academic needs. ▪ Priority will be given to families whose household income is 400% of poverty or below as outlined in the income priority guidelines 

➢ FES-EO: Family Empowerment Scholarship for Educational Options 

· ✓ FES-EO Information Handbook ▪ Available to all students, regardless of household income, who are residents of Florida and eligible to enroll in a K-12 public school. 

➢ FES-UA: Unique Abilities Scholarship 

· ✓ FES-UA Information Handbook ▪ Available to Florida students age 3 through grade 12 or age 22, whichever comes first, who have a specific medical or learning diagnosis. ▪ You must have a medical record within 3 years, supporting the diagnosis. FES-UA: Unique Abilities Scholarship 

· ✓ FES-UA Information Handbook ▪ Allows more flexibility for on site and remote learning. Students are only required to come to campus 2 days a week for onsite learning. ▪ Allows more flexibility for on site and remote learning.
